Ancient voices of children
Based on poems by Federico García Lorca
~~~
Fascinated by the lullabies of his homeland, Federico García Lorca made their blend of melancholy and harshness his own, in texts as stark as they are evocative. In 2026, marking the 90th anniversary of the Andalusian poet’s assassination, Barbara Hannigan, Bertrand Chamayou, and the soloists from the Académie Ravel pay tribute to him. A concert that culminates in George Crumb’s Ancient Voices of Children, a true song of the Spanish land.
