Vincent Martinet

A complete artist, Vincent Martinet is involved in many fields related to the sharing of music. An award-winning pianist and chamber musician, as well as a recognised and experienced teacher, he views his art as a collective story and shapes his repertoire through his encounters.

Fascinated by the piano and its infinite possibilities from his very first exercises, Vincent Martinet quickly followed his growing passion for music. This path led the young pianist to the Toulouse Conservatory, where he was awarded his DEM with highest honours and unanimous distinction in piano, accompaniment, and chamber music.

In 2017, Vincent Martinet continued his journey in Paris with his admission to the prestigious CNSM in the class of Denis Pascal. He obtained a Master’s degree in piano as well as a Master’s in chamber music in the classes of Claire Désert and Michel Moragues, alongside his friend, the clarinettist Lilian Lefebvre.

With Lilian Lefebvre, Vincent Martinet recorded his first album, “De Paris à Prague”, released by Klarthe, which was praised by critics and awarded 5 Diapasons by the eponymous magazine. He has also benefited from the guidance of major musical figures such as Jonathan Biss, Marie-Josèphe Jude, Christian Ivaldi, Jean-Frédéric Neuburger, the Trio Wanderer, and the Quatuor Modigliani, among others.

Vincent Martinet’s career has been marked by success in prestigious competitions, including the Île-de-France International Competition and the Étoiles du Piano, where he was a prizewinner. At the latter, he received two special awards: the ESMD Prize presented by Jean-Claude Casadesus and the Pianiste Magazine Prize, awarded by Alexandre Sorel, who described him as a “bearer of light.”

Vincent Martinet also excels in Brahms and Chopin’s Second Piano Concertos, earning first prizes at the Roussel and Alain Marinaro competitions respectively. He has performed at the Chopin Festival in Nohant, the Radio France Festival, during the “Un été en France” tour with Gautier Capuçon, at the La Roque d’Anthéron International Festival with his Trio Montecristo, and at the Folles Journées de Nantes.

Alongside his Trio Montecristo, Vincent Martinet recorded his second album, “Regards de l’Est”, for the label Initiale, dedicated to the works of Dora Pejačević and Bedřich Smetana, with release scheduled for October 2026.
