Jean-Frédéric Neuburger has rapidly established himself as one of the most gifted musicians of his generation. He is an admired interpreter of a wide repertoire ranging from Bach to twenty-first-century composers. His career has taken him to perform with the world’s most prestigious orchestras and renowned conductors. A regular guest artist at international festivals such as Verbier, Lucerne, Menton, La Roque-d’Anthéron, Saratoga and La Jolla Music Society, he performs as a chamber musician with Renaud Capuçon, Bertrand Chamayou, Tatjana Vassiljeva and the Thymos, Modigliani and Ebène quartets.
Jean-Frédéric Neuburger devotes much of his musical activity to contemporary music, and has given the world premieres of piano pieces by Bruno Mantovani, Phillip Maintz, Yves Chauris and Echo-Daimonon, Philippe Manoury’s concerto for piano and electronics.
An acclaimed composer, his works include Aube, commissioned by the Boston Symphony Orchestra and conducted by Christoph von Dohnányi, then performed by the Israel Philharmonic and the Orchestre de Paris, his Piano Concerto No. 1, premiered by the Orchestre philharmonique de Radio France and Jonathan Stockhammer in 2018 and Faits et gestes, commissioned and premiered with François-Xavier Roth and the Gürzenich-Orchester Köln in 2019.
Jean-Frédéric’s extensive discography on the Mirare label reflects his eclectic and varied repertoire, and has been very favorably received in France and in the international press.
