Munich-born soprano Anna-Lena Elbert enjoys a distinguished international career spanning a wide repertoire from the Renaissance to the present day.

She has performed with the Munich Symphony Orchestra, the Konzerthausorchester Berlin, the Hofkapelle Stuttgart, the Budapest Festival Orchestra, and many others. Deeply committed to contemporary music, she collaborates closely with Gordon Kampe, Jan Müller-Wieland, and Konstantia Gourzi, creating notable roles at the Bayerische Staatsoper and the Salzburg Festival.

Highlights of her career include Zerbinetta (Ariadne auf Naxos) with Iván Fischer and Ligeti’s Mysteries of the Macabre at major European festivals.

A sought-after interpreter of Bach and Handel, she appears at the Bachfests in Leipzig and Schaffhausen and has recorded the cantatas of Johann Ludwig Bach with Johanna Soller. In the 2025/26 season, she will make her debuts in Zanaida by J. C. Bach and in Bach’s Christmas Oratorio with Jonathan Cohen.
