Concerto for harpsichord, flute, oboe, clarinet, violin and cello
~~~
When composing his Harpsichord Concerto in the 1920s, Manuel de Falla drew inspiration from Spanish music of previous centuries. Under the direction of Benjamin Alard, who performed and recorded the work on an early 20th-century harpsichord loaned by the Fundación Manuel de Falla, the soloists of the Académie Ravel retrace this historical journey… and extend it with José María Sánchez-Verdú’s Las ínsulas extrañas.
