Thuy-Anh Vuong

Born in Vietnam, Thuy-Anh Vuong began her piano studies at the Conservatoire National de Région de Marseille, where she had the good fortune to work with Anne Marie Ghirardelli and Pierre Barbizet for several years. She completed her full course of studies, obtaining all her Premier Prix in piano, musical training and analysis, and chamber music. She continued her studies at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris in the piano classes of Michel Béroff and Denis Pascal, and in the chamber music classes of Bruno Pasquier, Gérard Frémy, Jean Mouillère, Michel Moraguès and Christian Lardé. She obtained her Diplôme de Formation Supérieure, winning the piano and chamber music prizes with the Jury’s Congratulations. She subsequently benefited from invaluable advice during Master classes with G. Sebok, J. C. Pennetier, J. Rouvier, Emmanuel Ax…

She is regularly invited to perform as a soloist, in recital and with orchestra, throughout France, Europe and, above all, the United States, and participates in recordings of radio programs on France Musique, as well as for France Télévision. Passionate about the chamber music repertoire, she plays in several ensembles featuring musicians from the great Parisian orchestras, in duo with saxophonist Fabrice Moretti for Buffet-Crampon, in recital with violinist Laurent Korcia for the BMG-RCA label, and with baritone Ludovic Tézier (among others, Grand Théâtre de Genève, Staatsoper de Vienne in Austria…).
Always driven by the desire to enrich her repertoire with solo repertoire for other instruments, she has been called upon to collaborate with R. Pasquier, G. Hoffman, P. Muller, J. J. Kantorow, P. Graffin… during master-classes at international academies and for international competitions (such as the Monte Carlo Violin Master, Navarra Competition, Ginette Neveu Competition, etc.).

In parallel with her concert career, she was a member of the teaching staff at the CRR de Paris for ten years, as well as at the CRD d’Issy les Moulineaux. She is currently piano teacher at the Conservatoire du Grand Avignon and pianist in Olivier Charlier’s class at the CNSMD in Paris.
