Elise Bertrand

Born in 2000, Élise Bertrand trained in piano, violin, and composition. After studying at the CRRs of Toulon and Paris, she earned four master’s degrees from the CNSMD de Paris and went on to pursue an Artist Diploma while serving as Artist in Residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel.

Winner of second prize at the Ginette Neveu Competition and named Instrumental Soloist Revelation at the Victoires de la Musique 2024, she is supported by the Gautier Capuçon, L’Or du Rhin, Safran, and Charles Oulmont Foundations.

A soloist and chamber musician, she performs on international stages and her works, published by Billaudot and Klarthe, are played and broadcast on France Musique, Radio Classique, and ARTE Concert.

Her next recording, featuring sonatas with Gaspard Thomas, will be released by Évidence Classics in 2027.She plays a J. Gagliano violin (1796) on loan from the Société Générale Foundation.
