Claudia Sánchez Corral is a Spanish flutist born in 2003. She is currently completing her bachelor’s degree at the Catalonia College of Music (ESMUC) in Barcelona in Júlia Gallego Ronda’s class, while also studying at the Barenboim-Said Academy in Seville. Starting in September 2026, she will join the flute class at Codarts in Rotterdam, where she will pursue her master’s degree under the guidance of Juliette Hurel and Julie Moulin.
As an orchestral musician, Claudia Sánchez Corral has been a member of and collaborated with several youth orchestras in Spain, such as the Jove Orquestra de la Generalitat Valenciana (JOGV), the Jove Orquestra Nacional de Catalunya (JONC), the University of Valencia Philharmonic Orchestra (OFUV), and has also participated in the Barenboim-Said Academy in Seville, under the direction of conductors such as Pablo Rus, Roberto Forés, Manel Valdivieso, Josep Pons, and Ricardo Casero.
As for her training as a flutist, from 2019 to 2023, she furthered her studies with Salvador Martínez and Samuel Coles, and participated in various masterclasses and workshops, where she had the opportunity to learn from musicians such as Vicens Prats, Magdalena Martínez, Félix Renggli, Ulla Miilmann, André Cebrián, Álvaro Octavio, and Ory Schneor, among others.
Throughout her career, Claudia Sánchez Corral was a finalist for the Spanish national “Ceuta Flauta” award in 2023 and received the “Musician Training Grant” from the University of Valencia Philharmonic Orchestra that same year. In 2021, she received the “Requena Estudia” scholarship for the best academic record in the 2019–2021 International Baccalaureate class. Additionally, in 2016, Claudia Sánchez Corral was a finalist in the national “Fesarts” competition in Category B (ages 10–16), held in Valencia.
