Currently studying at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP) in the class of Emmanuelle Bertrand, Aurélien Fietta began playing the cello at the age of seven with Diego Cardoso at the Noisy-le-Grand Conservatory, before continuing his studies with Hélène Dautry at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Paris. He has also worked regularly with Geneviève Teulières.
Aurélien Fietta won First Prize at the Flame Competition in Paris in 2022 and was a prizewinner at the Brescia Talent Summer Courses Soloist Competition with Orchestra (Italy) in 2024. In 2025, he joined the Orchestre Français des Jeunes as principal cello.
Alongside his orchestral career, Aurélien Fietta is an active chamber musician, performing notably in a duo with pianist Nils Kittel.
He also enjoys exploring other musical practices, including improvisation, which he has had the opportunity to develop through Jean-François Zygel’s Pochettes Surprise concerts.
