Maïa Xifaras

Maïa Xifaras, a passionate cellist and insatiable chamber musician, is continuing her studies at the Paris Conservatoire (CNSMD).

A graduate of the Lausanne University of Music (HEMU), she trained for five years with François Salque, as well as Frans Helmerson, Clemens Hagen, Vincent Coq, and Peter Bruns.

Invited to numerous festivals, such as Banff, Prades, Gstaadt, and Ravel, she has shared the stage with renowned artists including Tabea Zimmermann, Lise Berthaud, François Salque, Maria Perrotta, Jean-Baptiste Doulcet, and Lorraine Campet.

Curious and eclectic, she also composes for cinema, substitutes in the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, and, with a passion for teaching, is also pursuing a master’s degree in pedagogy at the HEM in Geneva.
